The natural world around us is awe-inspiring, yet how do we honor nature inside of us?
The wisdom traditions of Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine teach that elements of nature ~ Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Ether/Spirit ~ determine our constitution.
When our nature inside feels out of balance, remember that we have tools to realign these elements via our actions.
Earth: observe. breathe. focus. decide.
Air: burn. tame. adapt. ignite.
Fire: ground. give. build. heal.
Water: cry. cleanse. flow. let go.
Ether/Spirit: connect. listen. know. be still.
May these reminders nourish our elemental nature, both in us and around us.

Spas have reimaged themselves yet again as human beings are emphasizing the need to prioritize self-care, mental health, and overall well-being – and ultimately living “well”.
There’s a growing recognition of the need for spaces that facilitate both personal introspection and meaningful connections with nature and others.
Creating environments where individuals can find solace to laugh, cry, and simply be themselves is becoming increasingly valued. Investing time and energy into personal development, whether through self-reflection, education, or pursuing meaningful experiences, leads to increased resilience, fulfillment, and a greater sense of purpose in life.

Taking care of oneself mentally, emotionally, and physically is essential for leading a balanced and fulfilling life. This is the space where I want to spend my valuable time and money.

Now we need to focus on making this accessible to all……

We invite everyone in the Spa and Wellness industry to read Mary’s article. In exploring both retro and techno trends, it’s crucial to prioritize genuine connections and community-building. Our emphasis should be on providing meaningful experiences that extend beyond digital platforms, ultimately enhancing lives and well-being.
